ON YOUR WAY TO MIDDLE SCHOOL

This new and exciting level created exclusively by More than Spanish, provides older children (grades 3 - 8th) with a significant jumpstart to Middle or High School. Students learn how to read and write in Spanish. Spelling and grammar concepts such as singular and plural, feminine and masculine, affirmative, negative and interrogative, prepositions, and some auxiliary verbs are taught in a natural and creative way. For our advanced students, main verbs and their conjugation are taught.

All the activities and games are designed to appeal to children and motivate them to continue expanding and using their Spanish skills. Materials provided for students include a workbook created by More than Spanish system. For these classes, we have a different curriculum that includes grammar, writing and reading skills.

EARLY BEGINNERS I & II

Through fun games, songs, dances, children learn new vocabulary and how to ask and answer basic questions. Sentences structure becomes a bit more complex and students interact in conversations. De que color son los ojos de tu mama ? Los ojos de mi mama son verdes. They also learn greetings, numbers, colors, fruits, family members, parts of the body, clothing and some adjectives and feelings.

INTERMEDIATES I & II

Children with previous Spanish experience expand their knowledge with new vocabulary and themes. After reviewing concepts already taught in Early Beginner, we introduce interactive themes like animals at the zoo, animals at the farm, adjectives to describe them, more feelings and emotions, food for breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, days of the week, months, seasons and weather. Advanced students learn how to answer key questions such as:
Cuándo/When? Using months, seasons, days of the week, weather and holidays
Dónde/Where? Using rooms in the house and buildings in the city
Por qué/Why? Using the school, its subjects and sports.

ADVANCERS I & II

Based on concepts already taught, advanced children immersed in the foreign language and its culture, through themes such as: A day in the beach, A day on the mountains , Going on vacations, Picnic Day, Celebrating la fiesta, and much more.
