THANK YOU PIKE FOR A GREAT FIRST YEAR !!!

After a VERY SUCCESSFUL start with sold out classes, we are ready for a terrific second year, beginning September 28th 2010.

We are offering two EARLY BEGINNERS I classes for new students K - 2nd grade and four classes for continuing students; three INTERMEDIATES I classes ( Early Beginners II last Spring), and one ADVANCERS class ONLY for advanced students.

Please note that More Than Spanish has a 4 year progressive curriculum and will not accept new students in any of our continuing classes. Tuition for this 12 week fall session is $220.00 and includes workbook and CD. We need a minimum enrollment of six students to hold a class. Classes are small, maximum 12 students, and will be filled on a first come, first serve basis.

EARLY BEGINNERS
Through fun games, songs, dances, children learn new vocabulary and how to ask and answer basic questions such as: Cómo te llamás? Cómo estás? Cuántos años tienes? Dónde vives? They also learn greetings, numbers, colors, family members, fruits, food, parts of the body, clothing and some adjectives and feelings.

* Missed classes will be made-up at the end of the session.

INTERMEDIATES I (Early Beginners II last Spring)

In this level we reinforce and expand previously learned concepts and engage children in conversations about themselves and their lives. They learn how to answer key questions such as:
Cuándo/When? Using months, seasons, days of the week, weather and holidays
Dónde/Where? Using rooms in the house and buildings in the city
Por qué/Why? Using the school, its subjects and sports.

* Missed classes will be made-up at the end of the session.

ADVANCERS
Advanced children will immerse in the foreign language and its culture, through themes. Please note that this class is ONLY for students with previous Spanish.

PIKE LIAISON OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for two parent volunteers, one for Tuesdays and one for Wednesdays to ensure the children arrive and are dismissed safely. The time commitment is from 3:00-3:20PM and 4:10-4:20PM on Tuesdays and 2:00-2:20PM and 3:10-3:20PM on Wednesdays. You will receive 50% off one tuition for your time.
